September 2, 2019 Update…
3pm Update: Bulloch County Schools is still monitoring weather updates about Hurricane Dorian and conferring with Bulloch County Emergency Management. Employees will report to work as scheduled on Tuesday, Sept. 3 for their faculty/staff training day. BCS will wait for further developments about the storm before they make any further decisions about school the remainder of the week for students. They will release another update by 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Please remain alert and monitor our communications as we report the latest and most accurate information.
Bulloch Academy and Trinity Christian will have classes Tuesday, September 3. They will monitor conditions as they are updated and will update parents and students if closings should occur.
Statesboro radio stations have begun hourly updates at the top of each hour. Set your presets to these stations FM 94.9, 106.5, 99.7 and 107.7 and AM 850 and 1240. Thanks Bryan Steele and Foundry Broadcasting! Updates continue through 11 pm tonight (Monday) and will begin again at 10 am tomorrow. They will increase update frequency if needed.
Bulloch County is closely monitoring Hurricane Dorian and all possible scenarios. As of now, the Bulloch County office will remain open on Tuesday, September 3rd and our employees will report to work as scheduled. We will make further determinations regarding the remainder of the week based on future updates and development of the hurricane. - Bulloch County is ready to assist those in the path of Hurricane Dorian! The Bulloch County Agricultural Complex will be accepting evacuees! The facility has 218 stalls available as well as 54 campsites with 30 & 50 amp power and water. The facility can also accommodate an additional 100 trucks with trailers without hookups.
